About the course:

The Short Course in Mental Health Nursing for Enrolled Nursing Auxiliaries consists of three modules, namely Module 1 (Nursing Skills in a Psychiatric Environment), Module 2 (Understanding the Different Mental Illnesses) and Module 3 (Legal-Ethical and Theoretical Aspects of Nursing in a Psychiatric Environment).
Note that these modules do not need to be completed in any specific order.
Upon successful completion of all three modules, learners will receive a certificate of completion for the Short Course in Mental Health Nursing for Enrolled Nursing Auxiliaries.

CPD:

Once SANC has ratified its CPD guidelines and opened applications, Vista Academy will apply to have the modules accredited for CPD points.

The course is designed to provide the learner with basic knowledge and skills to function within the role of enrolled nursing assistant (providing and coordinating holistic nursing care as a member of the inter-disciplinary team) when working with MHCUs and their families across the life span to promote psychosocial well-being.
